Montanaro UK Smaller Companies to benefit from reduced management fee

Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust, managed by Anna Lunden and chaired Kathryn Matthews (pictured), has announced that it is to benefit from a reduced management fee. The investment management fee, paid to Montanaro Asset Management Limited, has been reduced to 0.5% per annum of gross assets (previously 0.85% p.a.). This change is effective retrospectively from 1 April 2017.

Montanaro UK Smaller Companies focuses on the “smaller” end of the quoted UK small companies market. The Trust aims to achieve capital appreciation through investing in small quoted companies listed on the London Stock Exchange or traded on the Alternative Investment Market (“AIM”) and to achieve relative outperformance of its benchmark, the Numis Smaller Companies Index (excluding investment companies). The benchmark is the FTSE SmallCap (excluding investment companies) Index.
