Overview
Aberdeen Latin American Income aims to provide shareholders with a total return, with an above average yield, primarily through investing in Latin America. It holds companies listed on stock exchanges in the Latin American region and Latin American securities listed on other international stock exchanges as well as companies that derive significant revenues or profits from the Latin American region and debt issued by Latin American governments.
Aberdeen Latin American Income invests in a diversified portfolio consisting of at least 25% of its gross assets invested in equity and equity-related investments and at least 25% of its gross assets invested in fixed income investments. The Company’s investment policy is flexible, enabling it to invest in all types of securities. The Company’s portfolio is not managed by reference to any benchmark and, therefore, the composition of its portfolio is not restricted by minimum or maximum country, market capitalisation or sector weightings.
