Overview
Infrastructure India’s investment objective is to provide capital growth and income by investing in infrastructure projects in India, with a particular focus on the energy and transport sectors. The Company aims to invest in assets that are expected to generate a base IRR of 15% per annum. The Directors believe that the Group’s returns could be raised to 25% due to additional potential gains from refinancing, yield compression effects and portfolio management efficiencies, as has been achieved by other listed infrastructure companies. In reality though investing in these projects in India has sometimes been a frustrating process.
